Metropol NEXT is the latest release from Metropol Playing Cards.
Backers of the Kickstarter campaign can select the items they pledged for and add new ones if they wish.
For those that are new to Metropol NEXT, this is your chance to purchase some of the items offered from the campaign.

Wow that was a close one! It really came down to the 11th hour. Seriously, I think we hit 100% with just over 11 hours until the deadline. :D When I chose to launch this project I didn't realize there were going to be so many other great playing card projects hitting Kickstarter and competing for your backer dollars at the same time. With so many great decks funding at the same time I know it was hard to choose which ones to support, so thank you for choosing Metropol! I know you're going to be really happy with final product.

Backer Surprise
A while back I mentioned a surprise for backers if/when the campaign was funded. One will be revealed very soon and the other two will have to wait for the deck production to end. Suspenseful!

What's Next?
So the big question is, what happens now? Now that the campaign has ended, Kickstarter will begin collecting pledges. Kickstarter says this process can take up to two weeks, but in my experience it's always exactly two weeks. :)
While Kickstarter is busy doing its thing, I'll be coordinating the deck production with EPCC and setting up BackerKit. For those that haven't used it before, BackerKit is a system that allows you to select your pledge rewards, add-ons, and manage your shipping address. It also gives you a chance to add on extra items that you didn't pledge fro during the campaign.
The BackerKit surveys will be going out about a week or two from now so that I can start getting a proper estimate of the accessories needed (pins, coins, etc). If you're going to be moving in the near future, don't worry, you'll be able to update your shipping address through BackerKit at any time. I'll have more information on this when the surveys go out.

Project Status
How's everybody doing today? If you're over in my part of the world you're probably enjoying this awesome summer weather we're having. Meanwhile in other parts of Canada they're getting hit with snowstorms already!
Anyway, things are still warming up with Metropol NEXT! We're over 75% funded and still have a week to go! I know there's been a lot of great playing card projects popping up on Kickstarter the last couple of weeks so from the bottom of my heart I thank you for supporting Metropol NEXT! We're not far off now and one big marketing push is all we need to go over the top. If you haven't shared the campaign link with your friends, now is the time to do it.
For anyone who signed up for the 48-hour notification and hasn't yet backed the project (my project dashboard says there's a LOT of you), don't wait; back the project now! The closer to the funding goal we are at the 48-hour mark, the more people are likely to hop on board. :D

New Super-Limited Reward Announcement
Tomorrow at noon, that's September 13 12:00pm EST I'll be adding a new extremely limited pledge level to the campaign, the Metropol NEXT Sample Deck. The sample deck was pictured in the last update, above, and has been the star of my last few posts on Instagram and Twitter.
This pledge level is eligible for all available add-ons and worldwide shipping is included. Only 6 of these decks exist and through this pledge level, two are up for grabs. Like my previous campaigns, the sample decks will ship as soon as the campaign funding ends.
Of the 6 sample decks, 2 will be available through pledge rewards, 2 have been sent to friends, 1 will be given away in some upcoming contest and the last... I was thinking of keeping for myself but I may just give that one away too. What do you think?

Hey Everybody!
This update is a little later than intended but I wanted to wait and show you what finally arrived today.

Slowly but surely the funding keeps moving along and we got a nice boost over the weekend. We've still got plenty of time to push this over the top!
I decided to make this update public to reach out to those that are "following" the project. There's a huge number of people following this project, using the 48-hour reminder. If even 1/4 of those following stepped up and backed for a single deck we'd be over the top and can start talking stretch goals. So what are you waiting for? :D
Sample Decks Arrive!
With every deck I design, I have a few of these printed to use for promotional shots. These decks aren't printed using the same materials or even printing process as the ones that EPCC will produce.. I just use them to help visualize the final product. :D
A couple of them are spoken for, but 3 of them are up for grabs. I haven't quite decided what to do with them just yet but I'll make a decision and an announcement in the next update. ;)
